The people behind the name
Persatuan Ngap
Ngap Baong.
After COVID restrictions eased, Perngabong brought event organizers, café owners and people from Pontianak’s creative scene onto the same pitch. Its playful name expands to Persatuan Ngap Ngap Baong—a good fit for a crew known for local familiar faces and a sharp sense of humor.
Five or six years on, they still meet to play every week. Perngabong has also returned to NOIR for two or three kit orders; the pair shown here is their latest.
